The authorities of Lithuania suggested that pig farmers to refuse to keep pigs in exchange for compensation. To such measures the government of the country was prompted by the recent outbreak of ASF at the biggest pig farm of the Danish company Idavang in the Akmenes region, pigua.info reported.
The first two outbreaks of the virus were confirmed in the Podkarpackie voivodeship. By this time, ASF spread on the territory of only four voivodships: Podlaskie, Mazowieckie, Lubelskie and Warminsko-Mazurskie, pigua.info reported.
