Until the end of 2018 dairy products may raise in price by 10-15% due to a seasonal decline in the production of raw milk, analyst Maksym Fasteev, an analyst in Infagro Analytical Agency, said during a conference of the American Chamber of Commerce on which a study was presented on the prospects for the development of the food industry in Ukraine, UNIAN reported.

"The price for raw milk raises every year. So the price for milk raised by 60 kopecks on September 1. It is also predicted that at least the hryvnia will raise by the end of the year. Therefore, producers and processors will definitely have to raise prices gradually. In the summer there were sales that also superimposed on the price of the goods. Accordingly, the price of end product will grow by 10-15%," the expert said.

According to him, the rise in price of raw milk is associated primarily with the seasonal production of this product - in the winter it is produced less than in the summer. Also Fasteev noted that the rise in price will affect all commodity positions.

As UNIAN reported, milk production in Ukraine in 2017 increased by 2% - up to 950 thousand tons.
