During the first half of 2018 Ukraine increased poultry meat exports to the European Union by 80%. This is reported by analysts of Pro-Consulting.

Entrepreneurs exported in the EU 62 thousand tons of chicken in the first six months. Ukraine took the third place among the suppliers of this product.

Analyst Pro-Consulting stressed that due to the expansion of the geography of export supplies, the opening of the Middle East market, Ukraine will remain in the industry leaders. In 2017 the main buyers of Ukrainian poultry were the Netherlands ($ 78.07 million), Egypt ($ 65.24 million) and Iraq ($ 42.67 million).

The main factors for the development of the Ukrainian market in 2018-2019 will be a decrease in the rate of inflation and an increase in the purchasing power of the population of Ukraine, which will increase the production of chicken meat in Ukraine by 5-7%.

It bears reminding that for the first half of 2018 agroexport to the EU countries amounted to $ 2.6 billion.
