Official veterinary services of Romania reported on March 14 about a new outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) among domestic pigs in a private household, reports pigua.info.
According to the information of the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the Chernihiv region, in the personal subsidiary farm of the citizen Sholupets M. (Hrabivka village, Kulykivskyi district, Chernihiv region), disease and death of pigs were recorded on March 06, 2018.
In Ukraine, last year, the affected by ASF (African swine fever) farmers were paid about 5.8 million UAH compensation. However, another 9.6 million UAH have not been paid yet. This in response to the request was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Bucovina informs that the epizootic situation in the Lukovytsia village is under control and unauthorized burial of animal corpses is eliminated.
426 pigs out of 560 dead pigs died due to African swine fever in a private household in the village Molodiia Hlybotskyi district of the Chernivtsi region.
