The domestic poultry industry has significantly increased the rate of growth over the past two decades. This was reported by the head of the department of financial and credit and tax policy of the National Research Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics", Ph.D. Leonid Tulush, kurkul.com informed.

According to him, this growth in poultry farming in Ukraine became possible due to the long-term state policy of financial support for the development of the industry. In the first place, it was the provision of tax preferences to poultry enterprises that facilitated the attraction of investments and the introduction of innovative technologies.

If in the early 2000s the number of poultry did not exceed 30 million heads, then by the beginning of 2010 it had more than tripled and totaled to more than 100 million heads. In addition, in early 2014, the number of chickens reached 132 million. The volume of sales of poultry meat by agricultural enterprises during the time of granting tax preferences grew almost 15 times, Leonid Tulush noted. So, in the early 2000's poultry enterprises were able to realize only less than 0.1 million tons of chicken, and in the "pre-war" 2013 - almost 1.3 million tons.

Analyzing the indicators of the development of poultry farming, we can conclude that already in early 2010 the poultry industry reached significant indicators of development and profitability of activities.
