German companies are cautiously but with interest observing the market of digitization of agriculture in Ukraine, seeing the prospects of it, Ukrinform reported.

This was discussed at a round table in the Embassy of Ukraine in Berlin with the support of the German-Ukrainian Forum, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy and the Foreign Council on Economic Relations.

"Representatives of important ministries and departments of Germany, large associations took part in the event, they had a very good talk, they see great opportunities in Ukraine, especially in the agricultural sector," Secretary General of the Foreign Council on Economic Relations, Maximilian Hoffmann, commented during the meeting.

The topic of digitization in agriculture was called very relevant, albeit relatively new. Hoffman is convinced that there are good opportunities in the Ukrainian market for European, in particular, for German companies. He considers the round table to be the first step to even show the chances of business opportunities in Ukraine, moreover from German entrepreneurs.

"I got the impression that German businessmen are approaching cooperation with you with very big reservations, caution, but also with the knowledge that there are very great opportunities. I think it's a matter of time," Hoffmann said. He believes that it is very important now and we need a "positive image, a story of success."

This should help the experience of other German companies that are known, trusted, have a good reputation. "They have to say: we work in Ukraine and we really like it," Hofmann advised. He points out that there are still a lot of problems, both in general in foreign markets, but Germany sees "significant improvement and great progress".
