Milk production has significantly risen in price in Ukraine

In June of this year consumer prices for milk, cheese and eggs in Ukraine, on average, increased by 20.4% compared with June last year, according to the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, UNIAN reported. In particular, milk has risen in price by 16.4%, cheese - by 13.5%, eggs - by 53.8%.

Compared with May of this year, prices for milk, cheese and eggs in June decreased by an average 2.6%. In particular, milk has fallen in price by 1,7%, cheese - by 0,5%, eggs - by 9,8%. The State Statistics Service noted that the given data does not take into account information from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the zone of operation of the United forces.

As UNIAN reported, the price of milk increased by 26.3% over 2017. Inflation in Ukraine in June 2018 in annual terms - compared with June 2017 - was 9.9%, slowing from 11.7% a month earlier.
