The turnover of agricultural products between Ukraine and Germany increased by almost 50%

The trade turnover of agrarian and food products between Ukraine and Germany in January-April of 2018 increased by 49%, or by 79.6 million dollars to 239.039 million dollars. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food for European Integration, Olha Trofimtseva on her Facebook page, UNIAN reported.

"According to the results of January-April of 2018, trade of agrarian and food products amounted to 239 million dollars (an increase of 79.6 million dollars compared to 2017)," is said in the report. It is noted that exports over this period are 88.2 million dollars, and imports - 150.8 million dollars.

According to the deputy minister, the main export commodities in January-April were oilseeds - $ 22.3 million, cereals - $ 12.2 million, juices - $ 7.9 million, honey - $ 9.5 million, meat and by-products - 11.9 million dollars, etc. At the same time cocoa beans and chocolate were imported from Germany - $ 12.6 million, oil cake and other - $ 15.2 million, tobacco and its products - $ 14.5 million, fish - 9.3 million dollars, live animals - 6.6 million dollars and other goods worth $ 25.6 million.

As UNIAN reported, in 2017 Germany entered the TOP-5 trading partners of Ukraine in the EU. Despite Germany, the list included countries such as the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Italy. Following the results of 2017, the foreign trade turnover of agrarian and food products between Ukraine and European countries increased by 30.8%, or by 1.9 billion dollars and amounts to 8.1 billion dollars. The total revenue from the export of Ukrainian agrarian products in 2017 increased by 16.3% compared to 2016 and amounted to more than 17.9 billion dollars.
