The regional center introduced quarantine measures due to the ASF, which was found in the subsidiary farm of the military unit in Zaporizhzhia.
This was reported by the press service of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.
A ban is imposed on trade in all the markets of Zaporizhzhia with live pigs and products from them, other than those obtained from slaughter and processing enterprises, provided that the necessary veterinary documents are available.
Also, a ban on the use of food wastes for feeding animals to agricultural enterprises, because they are the cause of the disease of pigs.
In addition, all subsidiary farms are inspected in the region.
As the head of the State Administration of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Viktor Shershniev told Depo.Zaporizhzhia, quarantine measures will last forty days, namely until mid-March unless other cases of ASF happen.
It bears reminding that due to ASF in the subsidiary farm of the military unit, 18 animals were killed. Therefore, all pigs in the farm were terminated.
