The population of cows decreased for the lack of bulk food in Ukraine

Through arid spring and summer, the yield of silage corn and haylage has significantly decreased. In addition, there is no bulk food market in Ukraine at all.
 
Therefore, farmers will either have to reduce their livestock by culling unproductive cows, or reduce the share of bulk food in the diet in favor of concentrated food, which is an advantage to the cost of production and disadvantage to the health of animals, experts have said.
