The form of the veterinary certificate for export of milk and milk products from the EU to Ukraine has come into force

This is stated in the message of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP).

 

The document is placed under the heading "International cooperation" - "Certificates for import to Ukraine" (the "European Union" tab).

 

According to the SSUFSCP, a transitional period for the use of the new harmonized form of veterinary certificates is determined by September 30, 2017. Thus, the bilateral forms of certificates for the import of milk and dairy products in Ukraine, previously agreed with the EU member states (Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Sweden) will operate up to and including September 30 in parallel with the new form. The corresponding letter of the SSUFSCP is directed to the regional services of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision at the state border and transport.

 

In addition, the process of approval of the certificate was preceded by thorough expert consultations between the SSUFSCP and the European Commission. Now we are also working on common forms of the veterinary certificate for other types of products of animal origin.
