Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy

The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection was officially introduced by its chairman, Volodymyr Lapa. On behalf of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Memorandum was signed by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration Olha Trofimtseva.

This document declares active coordination of actions between public associations of the agrarian sector, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy in the following areas: opening new markets for the export of domestic products of the agrarian and food sector, obtaining information on the requirements of the legislation of the country of destination for exports, familiarizing domestic enterprises with the standards of products exported organization of joint conferences , seminars and trainings, the dissemination of advanced achievements in the field of food safety and veterinary medicine, other.

Also, one of the important areas of cooperation within the framework of this Memorandum was the coordination of efforts of public associations and state bodies in the formation of Ukrainian legislation, including the implementation of European standards. Representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection called on public associations to participate actively in the formation of the legislative framework, to make their corrections and comments on draft normative documents.

Among the immediate tasks for public associations that signed the Memorandum was a request to offer their vision of the priorities of potential countries for export, so that the responsible state bodies formed a strategy for opening new markets for the agricultural sector for the next year.

Representatives of some public organizations noted the importance of communication between the public associations of the agrarian sector themselves, will facilitate the establishment of cooperation between enterprises from different spheres, and in turn will have a positive economic effect.

Membership in the Memorandum was decided to be declared open, other public associations that have not yet been able to join it will be able to join it.

The development of the text of the Memorandum was held with the participation of public associations, where the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association also sent a number of proposals and comments.
