Germany acts on the lead. Since the African swine fever is already spreading rapidly in Poland and the Czech Republic, the deputies of the European Parliament have allocated additional funds for the depopulation of wild boars.

Two million euros will be spent on the implementation of an emergency anti-epizootic program. This was stated by the Agrarian Minister of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Til Bakhaus. The disease from Poland spreads in a western direction. According to the annual assessment of the Friedrich Leffler Institute, the risk of ASF penetration into Germany is determined moderately high. The spread of the virus can lead to severe economic losses. After an outbreak of disease will lead to a decrease in sales and export restrictions.

Information: on the territory of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania there are about 200 farms with a total of 830 thousand heads.
