On December 1, a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and public associations of the agro-industrial complex.

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
According to the signatories, the document is intended to promote international trade and improve the export potential of Ukraine, diversify the sales markets for domestic products, improve the competitiveness of goods on foreign markets.

"Today, the activities of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy are mainly aimed at supporting and defending the interests of representatives of Ukrainian agribusiness at the national and international levels. Therefore, I hope that the signing of this framework document will serve as a new effective mechanism for cooperation between all interested profile associations, the Ministry and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection with the goal of opening new markets and more efficient export activities in the agricultural sector," says  Deputy Minister for European Integration Olha Trofimtseva.

The purpose of the Memorandum is the formation of a common position on the identification of priority areas for the development of trade relations of Ukraine in the field of agriculture, food industry and agricultural technologies.

"Success in the international arena depends on effective coordination between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy - at the political level, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, which in practical terms promotes the interests of Ukraine, and the business that must be prepared to meet the requirements of those countries which we deliver our products in. It will be very difficult to save positive dynamics without such,"- sums up the chairman of the State Consumer Protection Service Volodymyr Lapa.
