IFCN predicts further stabilization of milk prices, as demand for it grows faster than supply at the current world price. This forecast was made by analysts following the results of the annual IFCN conference held in Italy. This is reported by UkrAgroConsult.

"Demand for dairy products will grow faster than supply. IT solutions for greater awareness will serve the dairy industry to determine the growth potential of the sector," IFCN Managing Director Torsten Hemme said.

Presenting long-term and short-term forecasts, IFCN analysts noted that the growth in demand for milk until 2030 is estimated at 304 million tons.

To develop the production necessary for this growth, the world price for milk is more than $ 40/100 kg of milk.

The situation in the dairy market in 2019 will be heavily dependent on the nuances of 2018, such as weather anomalies affecting feed production, demand for dairy products and GDP per capita.

The rapid slowdown in world milk supply growth is about 1.6% in August against 3.1% in January, supported the stabilization of milk prices at $ 35/100 kg.
