The volume of foreign direct investment (equity capital) in the agricultural sector of Ukraine in January-March of 2018 amounted to $ 11.75 billion, according to the State Statistics Service, reports landlord.ua.
In particular, $ 598.5 million was invested in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, which is 1.8% of the total foreign share capital.
At the same time, the processing industry employed $ 8.35 billion (25.5%). The amount of investment in the production of food, beverages and tobacco products amounted to $ 2.81 billion (8.6%).
The total amount of foreign equity capital in the economy of Ukraine in the first quarter was $ 32.75 billion, of which $ 25.19 billion was invested by the countries of the European Union.
Data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
