Vinnytsia peasants opposed the low prices for milk

Ten years ago, the cattle stock in the region numbered more than 7,700 heads, today this figure is half-lower - 3750 heads. Because of low purchase prices, people blocked passage of milk trucks for several days and rallied under the walls of the district administration.

"Even water with “chemicals”  is more expensive in stores than milk. The whole village survives thanks to milk. But understated purchase prices for it is a crime against us! Today, with total inactivity of the authorities, the milk mafia, at its discretion, sets too low prices for milk. Monthly price for peasants decreases, while in stores milk rises in price, " say residents of Dzyhivka.

The peasants continue to cut out cows, because they do not see the point of keeping them. The society demands at least to give a minimum of 6.60 UAH. In addition, back in 2008, three refrigeration units worth 800 liters were purchased, which for some reason did not work. Peasants say that they themselves would control quality, and they would have the opportunity to earn more.

At the same time, the procurers expressed their point of view.

"I have 200 employees. I provide both a cooling installation, and a laboratory, signing contracts with people. I have to pay them salaries, which since January 1 have grown by 500 UAH. And our products (condensed milk) are sold poorly. Prices for gas and fuel have risen. And at a price, you need to improve the quality of milk, " says Yurii Prylutskyi, milk producer in Dzyhivka.

The other day the residents of Dzyhivka met with the leaders of the Yampilskyi district, who supported the demands of the people. "Today, as an executive body, we call representatives of factories - they do not come. There are no levers of influence? It is only necessary to check how the dairy truck calls in without analyzing how milk stations work, why milk reception is not done according to the Law of Ukraine: the plant takes milk from the cooling point, where it should be handed over by milk producers or a representative hired by people or plant. This lack of control has created such a situation in the district. The situation should be regulated by the agreement, " says Mykhailo Vdovtsov, chairman of the Yampilskyi district state administration.

Self-employed individual Mykhailo Oliinyk form Dzyhivka responded, who provides milk procurement services, responded on the appeals of people. He said that at home refrigeration plants for more than two tons of milk. If peasants bring and hand over products to his home, he will pay 6.2 UAH per liter. People responded to this proposal.
