On Thursday, July 5, 2018 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider a number of bills important for the country's agricultural sector. This was reported by the People's Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the Agrarian Committee Oleksandr Bakumenko on his Facebook page, according to agravery.com.
"The following bills were included to the agenda for Thursday, July 5: No. 5448-r, No. 4532, No. 6527-r, No. 8121, No. 7060 and No. 6049" he wrote.
He noted that at the same time the Agrarian Committee requested to include in the agenda of the eighth session of the VR, and to consideration on Thursday, July 5, extremely important European integration bills:
- No. 8450 (which is in essence an updated and amended bill No. 4126-1 on information for consumers on food products, is included in the roadmap of European integration bills)
- No. 8171 on the fundamentals of state agrarian policy;
- No. 6673 on amending some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the settlement of certain phytosanitary procedures.
"The draft laws proposed by the Agrarian Committee concern the improvement of the principles of the legal regulation of organic production; consumer awareness of food products; priorities of development of the state agrarian policy; development of the sugar industry; stimulating the creation and development of family farms and agricultural cooperatives, as well as improving land legislation," he said.
Bakumenko expressed confidence that the settlement at the legislative level of the issues proposed for the decision in the proposed draft laws would provide a powerful impetus for the further development of the agrarian sector.
