US mission began to evaluate the system of state control over poultry health in Ukraine

The US mission is in Ukraine to assess the state control system for poultry health, which will operate at the territory of our state from October 1 to 4, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection reported.

As part of their visit, the American delegation met with the heads of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection - Head Volodymyr Lapa and First Deputy Head Andrii Zhuk, - representatives of the Department of Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine, the Office of International Cooperation, the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise.

First Deputy Andrii Zhuk acquainted his colleagues with the structure, functions and powers of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and its territorial bodies, the national system of state laboratories, measures for monitoring poultry health, procedures for state control, etc.

The mission will work in the Odesa, Lviv, Cherkasy and Kyiv regions.

During this time, representatives of the mission will familiarize themselves with the work of the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise, regional laboratories, territorial bodies of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the specified areas, border inspection points, household farms.

According to the results of the mission, a meeting will be held in the central office of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, after which an official report on the recognition of the Ukrainian system of state control over poultry health will be drawn up.
