Ukrainian producers of fresh dairy products continue to experience difficulties in selling products. This is not surprising, because it was in October, the most massive and significant increase in prices for fresh dairy products.

This was informed by Infoagro.

"The choice of producers is not great: they can not work for a long time without profitability, so prices will continue to grow even if production output is to be reduced because of the weakening of demand," the report said.

At the end of October, fresh milk products in cheap packing by factories were sold at such prices:

  • milk 2.5%, film - 16-18 UAH/liter
  • kefir (butter milk) 2,5%, film - 18-20 UAH/liter
  • sour cream 15%, film - 43-48 UAH/kg
  • lactic cheese 9% - 80-95 UAH/kg.

After some revival of sales at the end of summer and the first half of September, because of the price increase, in the second half of September, the factories had to reduce the production of fresh dairy products by 6%, to 33 thousand tons. The production of milk increased by 1%, to 39 2 thousand tons, and products from cottage cheese by 6%, up to 6 thousand tons.

In October, a noticeable decrease in sales, respectively, and production, occurred already in all categories of fresh dairy products and it seems that this process in November will no longer be able to stop.
