Ukrainian eggs will soon become gold

Executive director of the NGO Economic Discussion Club Oleh Pendzyn said that the cost of domestic eggs was not an indicator, but at the end of the last decade of September, eggs in supermarkets went up by 11%.

 

According to Pendzyn, today there are quite serious price jumps.

 

"Since September last year, eggs have risen in price by 22%. However, if we compare the current price with the one that was January 1, 2017, then eggs are now cheaper by 10%, " says he.

 

According to the expert, the cost of eggs at the moment is a vivid example of manipulation of the prices of the leaders of the monopolized market.

 

"The antimonopoly committee should seriously analyze the situation with eggs, but for some reason it does not do it. In addition, this market is very closely connected with the European market, and only in the European market does it become possible to expand the presence of Ukrainian producers, they immediately bring the goods and the overall balance Ukrainian market is deteriorating, as a result, the price for these products in Ukraine is growing, and there is no protection of the internal consumer," says Pendzyn.

 

The expert drew attention to the fact that the price of eggs directly depends on the solvency of the population and noted that by the end of the year they will significantly rise in price.

 

"At the end of the year, as a rule, large financial payments are made and the demand for food is increasing, eggs are included in a large number of dishes prepared by Ukrainians, so the prices for eggs will definitely grow until the New Year," sums up Oleh Pendzyn.
