Ukraine will create a farming model of management

Among the priorities of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is the stimulation of the farmer's movement and the creation of a successful model of management in Ukraine that is the formation of an effective and socially responsible proprietor in the countryside.

This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Viktor Sheremeta in a live broadcast on one of the Ukrainian radio.

For the development of farms and agricultural cooperation for 2018 provides for state support in the amount of 1 billion UAH.

"Among the ministry's priorities is the creation of a farming model in Ukraine, using a successful European experience. Today there are more than 34 000 farms in our country that sell their products in the domestic and foreign markets, and in the future, they can become half a million, " says Sheremeta.

According to him, state support can be used to implement this task. So, in 2018 1 billion UAH is planned for the development of farms and agricultural cooperation.

Also, farmers will be able to benefit from support in the framework of the program for the development of the livestock sector, which provides UAH 4 billion. The main emphasis will be placed on the construction of new and reconstruction of livestock complexes, in particular for cattle. Also, among the areas of support there are cheaper credit resources, support the development of the livestock sector, increase the genetic potential of farm animals.

Another UAH 1 billion is planned for a program of partial compensation of the cost of agricultural equipment and equipment of Ukrainian production. 300 million UAH are planned to be used to support the horticulture, viticulture and hops industry.

In addition, the Deputy Minister drew attention to the issue of purchasing second-class milk from the population. He noted that no sanitary restrictions were imposed on milk intake from the population.

"Milk as accepted by the population, and will be taken in the future. On the other hand, we strive for the quality of milk to increase and our producers receive more. Therefore, we draw their attention to the observance of simple rules of hygiene of personnel and animals, as well as improvement of production conditions. Understanding that funds are needed to improve production, significant financial support from the state is planned for 2018, " sums up Viktor Sheremeta.
