Ukraine increased the export of cheese by 16.4% for the period of 10 months

According to the results of January-October, 2017, Ukraine delivered 7.423 thousand tons of cheese to foreign markets, which is 16.4% higher than the same period of 2016.

According to customs statistics, promulgated by the SFS, in monetary terms, the supply of this product increased 1.4 times to $ 26.3 million.

Imports of cheeses in January-October amounted to 7.716 tons, an increase of 42.8% compared to the same period last year. The country imported products worth $ 35.61 million (in January-October 2016 - $ 22.47 million).

The export of butter from Ukraine in January-October 2017 increased by 2.5 times - to 23,493 thousand tons. In monetary terms, it amounted to $ 96.81 million against $ 27.69 million in January-October 2016. Imports of this product fell by 2.1 times in ten months - from 980 tons ($ 3.33 million) to 470 tons ($ 2.78 million).

Export of milk and cream (condensed) in January-October 2017 decreased by 12,9% - to 41,137 thousand tons. Ukraine supplied condensed milk and cream for a total of $ 70.48 million, which is 6.5% more than in the ten months of 2016.

As reported with reference to the data of customs statistics, Ukraine in 2016 exported 8.05 thousand tons of cheese, which is 25.6% less than in 2015. Import of cheeses grew by 31.2% - up to 7.06 thousand tons.
