One of the most promising areas for the development of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of agriculture is the supply of eco-products.
This opinion was expressed by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Maksym Martyniuk in a commentary to one of the publications during the International Green Week in Berlin.
"On the one hand, the demand for this category is steadily growing as a response to the current trends in the consumer market, on the other - Ukraine has the opportunity to increase production volumes organic products, and, accordingly, to increase exports, " says Maksym Martyniuk.
According to him, for the stable development of this industry, it is necessary to adopt an appropriate law that would establish clear requirements for certification of organic production. "We expect that the Verkhovna Rada will soon pass this law, and after the approval of all by-laws, our legislation will be harmonized with the European regulation of organic production," says the First Deputy Minister.
