Ukraine has increased the production of milk and cheese

In January-May, in Ukraine the production of milk and condensed cream (with fat content from 1% to 6%) increased by 1.6% compared to the same period last year - up to 195 thousand tons. This is evidenced by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, UNN reported.

At the same time in May compared to April 2018, the production of milk and not condensed cream increased by 2.6%.

The production of butter over the first five months of this year increased by 8.4% - to 43.5 thousand tons.

At the same time the production of fresh unfermented cheese and grated, blue and other non-melted cheese increased by 2.5% and 2.2%, respectively. So, in January-May of this year 29.9 thousand tons of fresh cheese and 39.8 thousand tons of grated cheese were produced.

Data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
