The Ukrainian government and the European Commission discussed a new plan to provide technical assistance for the promotion of Ukrainian exports.

This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Ukraine's Trade Representative Nataliia Mykolska, following a meeting with the Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission.

"We discussed support from the European Commission of Ukraine's initiatives to promote exports. That is, we are talking about a new plan for providing technical assistance to Ukraine, " says the Ukrainian seller.

Nataliia Mykolska noted that one of the priorities of this plan is to promote Ukraine's economic development, where the main issue is the development of Ukrainian exports to the EU.

"This is very important for us, in particular, in the context of the government's adoption and approval of Ukraine's export strategy. This is also a signal for the European Commission, exports are a priority for the government, and there is a concrete vision for five years, what to do, " says the Ukrainian official.
Nataliia Mykolska stressed that such a policy of the Ukrainian government is positively assessed in the European

Commission.

"We hope that this new plan will be implemented according to the points provided for in the export strategy," adds the Ukrainian Trade Representative.

Among the potential areas where Ukraine can increase exports to the EU, Nataliia Mykolska noted agro-processing and food products, engineering, aircraft construction and services, information and communication technologies, and the creative industries sector.

"Since the temporary application of the FTA agreement, as customs statistics show, the number of Ukrainian companies operating in the EU market has doubled," stresses Nataliia Mykolska.
