The Ukrainian side, represented by the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association, managed to persuade potential Turkish partners in opening the export market for live cattle and beef.

The Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association has been carrying out systematic work on the opening of the Turkish market for Ukrainian livestock producers for a long time. For exporters of cattle, this direction is strategically important and economically advantageous primarily from the point of view of geographical proximity. In addition, Turkey is one of the leading countries in the consumption and export of beef.

The Ukrainian side, represented by the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association, managed to persuade potential Turkish partners in opening the export market for live cattle and beef.

The chairman of the USBA, Iryna Palamar, together with the First Deputy of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Oleksandr Zhuk, held negotiations with representatives of the Office of the Trade Adviser of the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine on the high interest of the Ukrainian business in the export of cattle with live weight and beef meat. The Association prepared and presented the full analytical material on Ukraine. This information was transmitted by the Turkish embassy to the competent authorities of the Turkish side and received a reverse positive reaction - the willingness of the Turkish business to import from Ukraine the cutting of cattle and meat.

In continuation of the objective development of the Ukrainian-Turkish business relations in the field of cattle and beef, one of the key Turkish companies arrived in Ukraine, which will be the main potential buyer of cattle and meat products in Ukraine. The same Turkish company became a member of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association and joined the team of its Ukrainian livestock enterprises, with whom it is ready to cooperate.

Today the Chairman of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association Iryna Palamar not for the first time hosted the Turkish company at the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association, introduced the domestic market and the activities of the Association.

Also, the Turkish delegation, along with the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association, has already visited a number of Ukrainian enterprises engaged in the production of cattle and the production of meat and meat products. There they conducted an inspection of enterprises and production, checked its compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, subject to compliance with which cooperation issues will be implemented. In response, the Turkish side was pleased with what had been seen and the readiness was expressed, first of all, for the export of beef products.

Representatives of the Turkish business independently convinced that there is someone to work with in Ukraine, and now, with the assistance of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association, they select potential partners - Ukrainian farms, in which they will buy livestock products.

Both countries are currently continuing negotiations on organizing the supply of Ukrainian livestock products to the Turkish market. A large number of them have already been carried out.

As of now, the negotiation process has already culminated in the fact that the Turkish authorities officially confirmed to Ukraine that it has readiness to open its market for the export of live cattle and meat. The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection received a very detailed letter-questionnaire from Turkey, in which the Ukrainian side should provide a detailed report on legislation, veterinary science, the structure of competent authorities, etc.

Information on the letter-questionnaire and other details of further cooperation in Ukrainian-Turkish relations can be found in our next news.
