The trade turnover between Ukraine and the USA over 2017 grew by a third and amounted to $ 5 billion, Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman said during a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wess Mitchell, UNN reports quoting the head of the government.
"Ukraine has been and is a strong partner of the United States in the region, our trade turnover has grown by one third to almost 5 billion dollars in the past year, and this figure may increase," he stated.
On May 2, in Kyiv the second meeting of the Prime Minister and Assistant Secretary of State took place.
During the talks, the parties discussed issues of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, counteraction of Russian aggression - including in the international arena, as well as issues of mutual trade, primarily in the context of restrictions on the import of metal products in the United States.
