The general situation with the trade balance of our country is not positive: for the I quarter of 2018, exports increased by only 10%, and imports - by 13% compared to the same period last year. This was  said by the director of the Association of Trade Network Suppliers Oleksii Doroshenko on his Facebook page, reports agropolit.com.

According to the expert, the main market for the sale of Ukrainian products was the Russian market, although manufacturers reduced the supply by 8%.

The second number is Poland, to which we increased the supply of goods, products and services by 32%.

"There is a hope that in early 2019 we will sell more products to Poland than to Russia," says Oleksii Doroshenko.

№3 - Italy bought from us by 25% more. Ukraine increased exports by 12% to Turkey, but to India, which closes the TOP-5 countries, supplies, on the contrary, decreased by 9%.

As for imports, Russia remains the leader. The increase in 29% speaks volumes. The second number is China, which increased the supply of goods to Ukraine by 23%. The countries of the top five importers also increased their presence in our market: Germany by 5%, Poland by 14% and Belarus by almost 2%.

"It is much easier to manage imports than export, so I want to believe that the increase in supplies from Russia is justified by much better conditions than Ukraine has in comparison with other partners," adds Oleksii Doroshenko.
