There is twice less milk from the population in processing in last ten years

In Ukraine the share of milk is reduced, which is given for processing by the population. This was written on Facebook by Maksym Fasteev, an analyst of the dairy market, agroday.com.ua reported.

According to him, usually the highest proportion of milk from the population is observed in June. In the current year, it was only 37%, although it was expected to be 40%. For comparison, in 2012 this indicator was at the level of 50% of the total volume of raw materials for processing.

The analyst believes that the processing of milk could have such a situation by 2022:

- 5% remain under technical casein,

- 10% are enlarged/merged in the format of family farms, improve the quality and go to the category of agricultural enterprises (good, and the law correspondingly was recently adopted),

- 5-10% improve the quality (up to 1st grade) in the format of cooperatives,

- the remaining 5-10% will have to leave or bypass the system (with the risks of liability).

Maksym Fasteev adds that 10 years ago second-rate milk occupied up to 60% of the processing market. And the extra grade did not even exist then in Ukraine.

By the way, according to the results of the first half of 2018, Ukrainian dairy plants processed 2.1 million tons of milk of basic fat content. Approximately 67% of raw materials came from agricultural enterprises. The share of extra milk was 21%, of the premium grade - 38.9%, the first - 33.9%. The second grade received only 6%.
