Subsidies from the state budget will be provided to producers only on animals that are identified and registered in accordance with the established procedure.

This is reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. 

According to the distribution of expenditures in the Draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2018, it is planned to allocate 2 billion 300 million UAH for state support of the livestock sector. The owner's possession of identified animals and their compliance with the data of the Uniform State Register of Animals can be checked by the appropriate regulatory authorities.

In accordance with the Procedure for the use of value added tax paid by processing enterprises to a special fund of the state budget approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 246 of March 2, 2011 (as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 342 of April 23, 2012), in 2018, the funds can be directed to state support of the livestock sector through the implementation of such payments:

1) special budget subsidies to individuals for the maintenance and conservation of young cattle;

2) partial reimbursement of:

  • cost of purchased breeding heifers, heifers and cows of dairy, meat and combined directions of productivity;
  • costs for the purchase of an individual milking unit;

3) for the economic entities that have been raised and sold for slaughter and processing, which have their own (rented) capacity for slaughter of animals, young cattle and pigs (except for sows and boars) (individuals, individuals - members of production or service agricultural cooperatives, as well as to farms)

4) special budgetary subsidies for the livestock of cows meat direction of productivity.

In order to avoid misunderstandings during the conduct of such inspections, animal owners must comply with the legislation of Ukraine on identification and registration of animals:

  • timely register farms for breeding, keeping, slaughtering, recycling animals in the Unified State Register of Animals;
  • timely identify all animals in the farm;
  • timely submit data for the registration of animals, all movements between farms, as well as on slaughter, utilization and mortality of animals.
