State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection plans to use funds competently for anti-epizootic measures

To increase financing of anti-epizootic measures is a double responsibility of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

This was reported by the chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Volodymyr Lapa, the press service of the department reports.

According to the information, in the current year the financing of anti-epizootic measures was significantly increased. For these purposes, the state budget for 2018 provides for 687 million UAH.

"For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, when the request of the State Procurement Service for financing anti-epizootic measures was fully satisfied. But for us it is a double responsibility. The government has done its utmost to create the proper conditions for the work of the Service. Now our task is to justify our hopes, " says Volodymyr Lapa. 

He said that the competent use of funds is the responsibility of the heads of the central apparatus and all territorial bodies.

In addition, the head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection paid special attention to the fight against corruption in the system of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

According to him, the situation on the ground shows that this work needs to be significantly strengthened.

"We must strengthen our work in cooperation with the central apparatus of the State Consumer Protection Service, law enforcement agencies and local self-government bodies. This is the image of the service and the state and this is the requirements of the legislation, " says Volodymyr Lapa.
