The population of cattle at the end of 2017 will be the lowest in the history of Ukraine. This will happen at the expense of reducing the number of cattle in private households.
This was reported by the expert of the agricultural markets of FAO Andrii Pankratov in the report during the Ukrainian Food Expo.
According to him, the number of cattle in the enterprises, on the contrary, is growing.
The predicted profitability of livestock production in 2017 will be at the level of 14.6%, which is twice as much as in the year of 2016 - 7.7%.
