Programs of budget support for farmers will be launched before the end of January

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, within the framework of fulfilling the tasks of development of the agrarian sector, is improving the programs for supporting the agricultural sector and expanding the possibilities of agro-enterprises, primarily with regard to the access of agrarians to available financial resources.

This was said by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman during the meeting on the development of the agricultural sector, the Cabinet reports.

He stressed that the key areas of work are livestock support, first of all, the creation of new complexes and the increase in the number of livestock, targeted support for farmers, as well as support of agricultural machinery enterprises in order to preserve and increase the number of jobs in this area and provide farmers with high-quality domestic production equipment.

"In the coming weeks, we need to launch a support program - so that we reach every farm in Ukraine and prove that we can use the available resources," says the head of government.

In the context of livestock development, the participants of the meeting noted that the range of support instruments is quite wide: from a directly budget subsidy for the development of young animals to the introduction of effective lending, the creation of new livestock complexes with the possibility of compensating the body of credit and establishing an effective credit rate. The conditions for the application of the available opportunities are flexible and depend on the market conditions and the request of the society. At the same time, the target regulations that will allow the financial product to be made popular, accessible and effective should be formed by the end of January.

"The main thing is that at the end of 2018 we had funds and livestock, maximally increased, and saturated with (its own high-quality products) market," says the prime minister.

In the context of support for farming, the head of government drew attention to the need for early processing of mechanisms for the introduction of effective lending, mechanisms for compensating the cost of equipment - in the context of acquiring equipment for a particular farm, and supporting cooperatives.

"So we will start the mechanisms of real production support, but at the same time we assume the responsibility of the farmer for honest registration of land and livestock." It is important not to waste time, all government resolutions must be adopted by the end of January. "There are enough resources (support)," says Volodymyr Hroisman.
