President of Poland Andrzej Duda signed a special law on the fight against African swine fever, which refers to the construction of a fence on the border with Ukraine and Belarus.

Barrages longer than a thousand kilometers will be installed along high-speed roads in close proximity to the border.
In addition, the special law amends the law on hunting in Poland.

It is a question of permits to shoot wild boars in the territories under protection. Hunters can take paid leave up to six days. Earlier it was reported that the estimated cost of construction of such a fence could be 100 million zlotys (27 million dollars).

The ASF virus appeared on the territory of Poland in February 2014 and since then 49 outbreaks of this disease and 380 cases of ASF of wild boars have been recorded in the country. Most of the cases were recorded in Liublinske, Pidliaske and Mazovetske provinces near the border with Belarus.
