An outbreak of ASF is detected in the Kherson region

On September 19 in the Kherson region in the personal subsidiary farm of a citizen in the village of Bekhtery of the Holoprystanskyi district there the death of a pig was recorded.

This is reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
 
In the study of selected samples of biomaterial in the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and the Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise (Kiev city) on September 21, the diagnosis was African swine fever (ASF).
 
In order to coordinate the localization and elimination of the ASF outbreak, a meeting of the State Extraordinary Epizootic Commission was held at the Holoprystanskyi District State Administration, the decision of which approved the plan for the elimination of ASF, the borders of the epizootic focus, protection and surveillance zones.
 
In the hearth of the disease, measures are taken to localize and prevent the spread of the pathogen of ASF.
 
Recall that for eight months of this year due to outbreaks of ASF in different regions of Ukraine as a whole, 26 520 pigs were killed.
