The number of poultry is increasing while the number of cows and pigs are decreasing in Ukraine

The number of cattle in Ukraine as of July 1, 2018 was 3.98 million heads, which is 4.6% less than on the same date in 2017. This is reported by the State Statistics Service according to agropolit.com.

Including the number of cows that decreased by 3.5% - up to 2.04 million heads.

As of July 1, the number of pigs amounted to 6.46 million heads, which is 5.3% less than in the same period last year.

The number of sheep and goats decreased by 4.1% over the year - to 1.63 million heads.

At the same time the number of poultry in the country increased by 4.7% compared to July 1, 2017, to 246.53 million.

As reported, according to the State Statistics Service, the number of cattle in Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the zone of ATO) in 2017 was 3.63 million heads, which is 1.5% less than in 2016.

The number of pigs decreased by 8.2% last year to 6.12 million heads, sheep and goats grew 0.1% to 1.316 million heads, poultry - 1.7%, to 205.1 million.
