The number of birds increased by 3.2% in Ukraine

As of October 1, the number of poultry in Ukraine increased by 3.2% compared to the same date last year - up to 233.8 million.

This is reported by the State Statistics.

The number of birds increased more in Lviv region - by 14.4%, and in Sumy region there was a decrease of 8.8%.

In addition, at the reporting date in Ukraine, the number of sheep and goats increased by 0.4% to 1,600,000 animal units. The largest increase in the number was held in Mykolaiv region - by 20.3%. At the same time, in the Zhytomyr region the number of sheep and goats decreased by 10.7%.

At the same time, in Ukraine, the number of pigs decreased to 9.8%, to 6.8 million head. The greatest decrease is observed in the Kharkiv region (40.1%), while in the Kiev region the number of pigs increased by 4.8%.

The number of cattle also decreased - by 0.5% - to 4.1 million animal units. A noticeable decrease occurred in the Cherkasy region - by 5.3%. In the Zhitomir region, the number of cattle increased by 13%
