The commission was urgently set up to conduct an epizootic investigation and take measures to prevent the spread of the pathogen of ASF in Chernihiv region.
The Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the Chernihiv region informs that according to the results of a study of pathological material delivered to the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and veterinary and sanitary examination, in pathological material from one domestic pig kept in a private household of a resident of Koriukivka of the Koriukivskyi district of Chernihiv region, DNA virus of African swine fever was found.
Currently, the meeting of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission under the Koriukivskyi District State Administration is being held, an action plan is being developed and organizational arrangements are being made to eliminate and prevent the spread of the African swine fever virus.
Detailed information on the results of the epizootic investigation will be reported immediately after it has been carried out.
