The Order of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection for 2018 for the implementation of the Plan of antiepizootic measures for the prevention of major infectious and parasitic animal diseases in Ukraine is 687,195 million UAH. This is noted in an interview for  "Animal Health and Medicine" by the first deputy chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Andrii Zhuk, АgroРolit.com reported.

It bears reminding that since the beginning of the year in Ukraine, 10 cases of detection of quarantine organisms were recorded, the total number of cargoes infected by them was more than 117 tons.

According to the data, 119.05 million UAH are planned for diagnostic studies, in particular - tuberculosis, brucellosis and sapa; 537.28 million UAH (anthrax, CSF, Newcastle disease) were sent for treatment and prophylactic measures, as well as for parenteral immunization of domestic animals and oral immunization of wild carnivores against rabies.

"It is planned to create a reserve of a vaccine against foot and mouth disease and infectious nodular dermatitis of cattle, 500 thousand doses and 150 thousand doses, respectively, and another 22.1 million UAH will be used to purchase disinfectant and insectic acaricidal agents," Andrii Zhuk said.

"Urgent challenges for the service of veterinary medicine - low financial motivation of specialists in veterinary medicine and ASF. There are big risks of import of foot and mouth disease pathogens, infectious dermatitis of cattle, highly pathogenic avian influenza from neighboring countries," he noted.
