The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered requirements for the production of veterinary drugs developed in the framework of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU norms.

This is reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The Ministry of Justice registered the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy No. 606 of November 10, 2017 "On Approval of the Regulations on Basic Requirements for the Manufacture of Veterinary Preparations and the Rules for Good Manufacturing Practices for Veterinary Preparations," developed in the framework of the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU standards (registered with the Ministry of Justice on January 24, 2018, No. 106 / 31558).

This normative legal document is the first step of Ukraine to create a legislative framework for regulating the production of veterinary drugs on the principles of good manufacturing practices. Therefore, the adoption of this order is important to ensure the needs of veterinary medicine quality and effective domestic drugs. The above-mentioned order is developed on the basis of the European rules of good manufacturing practices for medicines for veterinary use.

The adoption of a normative legal act enables Ukrainian enterprises to be competitive in international markets.
Good manufacturing practice is part of a quality control system that ensures that veterinary drugs are manufactured to ensure that they meet their intended purpose, the requirements of the registration dossier and the exclusion of risks to animals associated with inadequate safety, quality or efficacy.

The document was developed with the aim of introducing sectoral cooperation as specified in Presidential Decree No. 615/98 of June 11, 1998 "On the Adoption of the Strategy for Ukraine's Integration into the European Union", in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the State Program for Adaptation of Ukrainian Legislation to the Legislation of the European Union" in accordance with paragraph 62 of the Comprehensive Strategy for the Implementation of Chapter IV (Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures) of Section IV "Trade and Trade Related Matters" of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on Parties of the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their member states, on the other hand, approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of February 24, 2016 No. 228-р.
