Poland will receive 9.3 million euros from the European Commission to fight against the spread of the ASF virus.
Compensation is intended for farms with a population of up to 50 pigs, most affected by disease outbreaks. It bears reminding that 97th case of infection with the African swine fever virus is recorded in Poland.
In addition, the European Commission will allocate almost 2 million euros to Lithuania. The funds are planned to be used to shoot wild boars, reduce the risk of spreading ASF. In Lithuania, the complex in the Jonava district suffered from the ASF. There were utilized almost 23.5 thousand pigs.
