Kubiv urged entrepreneurs of Qatar to invest in Ukraine

Thus, at a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Trade of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Ahmed bin Jasim bin Mohammed Al Thani, it was about investing in Ukraine.

Kubiv stressed that due to the systemic reforms in Ukraine it is profitable to invest.

"For entrepreneurs in Qatar, it is now most profitable to invest in Ukraine. We carry out systemic reforms that stabilize the economy and continue to facilitate business in Ukraine. There are many interesting projects in energy, IT, industry, agrosphere, infrastructure, " says the minister.

He also noted that the way of investing in Ukraine can be the participation of Qatar entrepreneurs in privatization in Ukraine.

"I advise you to carefully look at privatization, where the investor can find proposals for himself in various areas and on a different volume of investment. Ukraine is precisely improving the legislation in the sphere of privatization, introducing more transparent procedures using the digital services of ProZorro, making the best world practices in the privatization process, " says Kubiv.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Representative of Ukraine Nataliia Mykolska noted that now trade with Qatar demonstrates significant growth rates.

"The foreign trade turnover of goods between Ukraine and Qatar for the 9 months of 2017 grew by almost 25%, and the export of goods from Ukraine to Qatar increased by 3.2 times. This shows a great mutual interest between our countries, therefore, trade and other promising areas of cooperation should be intensified, " notes she.
