The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food intends to establish a guarantee fund for small farmers who can not obtain a bank loan due to lack of collateral or for another reason.
It is reported by biz.liga.net.
According to the deputy minister of agrarian policy on farming Viktor Sheremeta, it is already clear today that farmers will not exhaust the credit limit, as banks are slow to give out money to small farms. Therefore, the balance of funds can be directed to support farmers in a different way.
"We have another program - a fund to support farming. Money can be redirected there. The second option is to create a guarantee fund. It will be such a financial institution, will act as a guarantor for farmers, to whom banks do not give loans. Those who do not have collateral, " says he.
Also, Sheremeta does not rule out that the fund will be attracted additional money, so that next year the smallest farmers could get loans without problems.
