Iryna Palamar will participate in the work of the International Trade Council under the CMU

The head of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association Iryna Palamar was approved into two working groups of the International Trade Council under the CMU on how to promote exports and improve the system of customs tariff regulation and trade protection.

On April 17 a constituent meeting of the Council for International Trade under the CMU was held under the chairmanship of First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Chairman of the Council Stepan Kubiv.

The meeting approved the membership of the Council for International Trade, which included representatives of state bodies - the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Bank of Ukraine, the State Fiscal Service, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, State Deputies of Ukraine, etc., and the annual plan for the Council's activities was also determined.

One of the priority activities to the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association is the development of international trade and economic activities of national agricultural producers: advisory and information support of business, establishing cooperation with interested international trading partners, working on opening new markets, improving legislation and eliminating internal government deficiencies, which are faced by Ukrainian farmers.

The Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association hopes that participation in the activities of the Council for International Trade will be an effective tool in ensuring the trade interests of the Ukrainian agrarian business and bringing Ukrainian agricultural products to new foreign markets.

It bears reminding that the Council for International Trade was established in pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on July 4, 2017 No. 455 "On the establishment of the Council for International Trade" in the implementation of the export strategy: the road map of Ukraine's strategic development of trade for 2017-2021.

The Council for International Trade is a temporary consultative and advisory body of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which goal is to establish a constructive dialogue between government authorities of all levels and business in international trade.

It is planned that the Council will become a productive platform that will work out many suggestions and recommendations on the formation of the state foreign economic policy and the development of international trade of Ukraine; conclusion, execution or denunciation of international treaties of Ukraine in the field of international trade; definition and introduction of mechanisms for stimulation of development of export; increase in exports of domestic goods, works and services to foreign markets; improvement of the system for ensuring the protection of Ukraine's rights and interests in the trade and economic sphere, etc.
