Iryna Palamar joined the fight against raiders

On Friday, July 20, 2018 it became known that the company "Econia" - a manufacturer of drinking water brands "Malyatko", "Chistyi Kluch", "Chaykava" and baby food, underwent an illegal takeover of property.

On July 19 at 7 am 15 armed men in masks broke into the territory of the enterprise (Zolotonosha city) and began to claim their rights to the company.

According to representatives of “Econia”, their company was taken over by other people in a fraudulent manner as a result of the actions of the state registrar and the private notary who illegally re-registered the rights to the plant property.

Iryna Palamar, public figure, head of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Assocation, spoke in defense of the enterprise, which suffered from an illegal takeover of property. She immediately appealed to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the office of the Business Ombudsman as a representative of the European Union for the protection of business rights and other organizations, to the First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv, who is the head of the Interdepartmental Commission on the protection of investors' rights, counteracting the illegal takeover of enterprises, asking urgently to provide assistance in resolving the situation. She visited the scene of the incident, Zolotonosha city, to intervene in situations personally.

"There are illegal takeovers almost every day across the country, - Iryna Palamar said. - The situation in Zolotonosha city is a fever pitch. They already taking over an enterprise that produces baby food! This is an egregious case. An enterprise that provides significant revenues to the budget, provides people with jobs and is a major exporter is taken over in a gangster way! I intend to raise all the relevant bodies on my feet in order to prevent the activity from interfering with honest business. I have already spoken on this issue - the protection of enterprises from agrarian raiding - at a meeting in the National Investment Council, and I am supported by many international figures, in particular, members of the American-Ukrainian Business Council. In addition, I applied with official letters to the relevant authorities with a request to protect honest producers from the arbitrariness of swindlers."
