Import of palm oil remains the highest over the last 5 years

In the current 2017/18 season (September-June) palm oil imports are still the highest over the past 5 years, at 193.3 thousand tons, which is almost 20% more than in the same period last season (161.6 thousand tons). This is reported by UkrAgroConsult analysts.

It is noted that in June 2018 the import of palm oil to Ukraine reached 19.7 thousand tons, which is almost 18% more than in the previous month and 23% compared to June last year.

"In the current season palm oil purchases in Indonesia slightly decreased compared to the same period last year (135.6 thousand tons against 137.8 thousand tons), while Malaysia increased exports to Ukraine by almost two times (40.4 thousand tons) tons compared to 22,500 tons), Indonesia accounts for 70% of the total import volume, Malaysia - 21%, and 6% of the market for the new player, Honduras, " is said in the report.
