The EU increased imports of Ukrainian agricultural products by 54%

The purchase by 28 EU countries of agricultural and food products from Ukraine in monetary terms increased for July by 54.2%, or by € 137 million against the same period last year, amounting to € 391 million for the month.

In June, imports jumped on 98.5%, or € 261 million, up to € 526 million. Thus, in July of the current year, compared to the previous month, the value of imports of such goods from Ukraine to the European Union decreased.
 
In annual terms - that is, from August 2016 to the end of July 2017 - the value of imports from Ukraine to the EU of agricultural and food products rose by 9.2%, or by € 414 million compared to the same period last year, to € 4.888 billion.
 
In addition, Ukraine rose in July from 7th to 6th place in the list of the largest countries supplying agricultural and food products to the European Union, behind Brazil, USA, Argentina, China and Indonesia.
 
It bears reminding that in September four more Ukrainian enterprises for the production of food products of animal origin were granted the right to export to the market of the European Union: one for the production of eggs for food and milk and dairy products and two for fish and fish products.
