Deputies want to restore state regulation of prices for social products

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the bill №8569 on the restoration of state regulation of prices for socially important food products. This is reported by the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, agropolit.com reported.

The bill introduces amendments and additions to the first part of Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine "On Pricing".

The third and fourth paragraphs are recommended to be added to the article, having stated them in the following edition:

"State regulation of prices for socially important food products is carried out by setting a marginal trade mark-up, which can be at least 5% and not more than 15% of the producer's selling price of socially significant food products".

The list of socially significant food products in respect of which state regulation is implemented is established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Such products include, for example, wheat flour of the highest quality; bread, bakery products from wheat flour and rye simple recipes; pasta; cereals; rice; beef, except boneless meat; pork, except boneless meat; poultry meat, chicken meat; boiled sausage; cow milk, butter; cottage cheese; chicken eggs; sunflower oil; sugar; vegetables.
