On February 14, 2018 Chairman of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association Iryna Palamar arrived in Uzbekistan, where she met with representatives of the authorities, industry associations, producers of livestock products.

The visit is carried out at the personal invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Mr. Alisher Khabibullaiovych Abdualiiev. The business trip was preceded by the official meeting of the head of the AJU with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Kiev, in December last year. Then the parties discussed the possibility of attracting investments in Ukraine, establishing business ties between the Ukrainian and Uzbek businesses, implementing joint business projects in livestock.

Therefore, Iryna Palamar's visit to Uzbekistan was the next step towards strengthening economic ties between the countries. As part of the trip, the head of the AJU has already held a number of important meetings with industry participants - government officials, industry associations, livestock producers. In particular, within the walls of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Uzbekistan, a conversation took place with the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Mustafaiev Otabek Sadykovych and the Head of the International Relations Department Tolibov Shokhrukh, where cooperation in livestock breeding and development of breeding and genetics was discussed, and the possibility of purchasing high-quality genetics of cattle in Ukraine.

"Today, Uzbekistan has adopted a number of programs to support the livestock sector, thanks to which it has already managed to significantly increase the number of cattle," says Iryna Palamar. "But they plan to further develop, improve the genetics of cattle, in addition, build powerful pig-breeding complexes, and in this direction, Ukraine can help. On the part of Ukrainian business is also a high interest in investing in livestock in Uzbekistan. Also, Uzbekistan, in turn, is interested in buying cattle from us alive, developing technologies of modern cultivation and genetics."
